Adjunct Titles Review 2013

The next review of applications for promotion to an Adjunct Title will take place on 5 June 2013. The deadline for submissions is Monday 27 May 2013. For more information on Adjunct Titles and the procedure, please refer to Appendix K – the Adjunct Titles Criteria, which is available from:

Academic Promotions Exercise 2013

The Academic Promotions Committee is holding three informal briefing sessions about the promotions process for potential applicants. 

Sessions devoted to the interview, will be held in the early part of 2013.  The 2013 documentation will be available on the website soon.

 The sessions will focus upon:

  •  The range and level of activities required to help ensure success
  • The process itself
  • The documentation

 There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

 The sessions will be held  on the following dates and times:

 WEDNESDAY 17 OCTOBER 13.00-14.00 AT SOUTH KENSINGTON CAMPUS – ROOM 130, LEVEL 1, HUXLEY BUILDING

 WEDNESDAY 7 NOVEMBER 15.30 – 16.30 AT HAMMERSMITH CAMPUS, COMMONWEALTH BUILDING BOARDROOM

 WEDNESDAY 14TH NOVEMBER 14.30 – 15.30 AT ST MARY’S CAMPUS – ROTHSCHILD ANTEROOM, LEVEL 2, MEDICAL SCHOOL BUILDING

Academic Appointments Procedure – Remote interviews and restrictions on the use of this method

The College’s recommendation of the exceptional circumstances in which Skype and video conferencing may be used to interview candidates for academic posts can be read on the College’s Academic Appointment Procedures Use of Technology guidance note. 

In all cases where remote interviewing is proposed, (assuming the exceptional circumstances apply, as set out on the document mentioned above), permission from the Senior Dean (via HR) must be sought, and a justification provided.

Academic Promotions 2012 – Briefing on the Promotions Process

The Academic Promotions Committee is holding two, informal briefing sessions to inform potential applicants about the process (later on, we will have sessions specifically devoted to the interview).

 The sessions will focus upon:

  •  The range and level of activities required to help ensure success
  • The process itself
  • The documentation

The sessions will be held as follows:

WEDNESDAY 26 OCTOBER – ROYAL SCHOOL OF MINES LECTURE THEATRE 1.47 , SOUTH KENSINGTON CAMPUS  at 4–5pm

OR

WEDNESDAY 2 NOVEMBER – BOARDROOM, COMMONWEALTH BUILDING, HAMMERSMITH CAMPUS at 3-4 pm
