Welcome to the Learning Well Blog!

Welcome! This resource is inspired and informed by the Imperial Learning Well research we’ve been doing with Imperial students, for Imperial students, focusing on students’ learning experiences and how these relate to their wellbeing.
This space belongs to all of us and together we’re part of a community of practice. In other words, this is a space where we can learn from, and with, one another.
In our blog, you can expect to read evidence-informed posts which means that the ideas and strategies shared are rooted in empirical data. We’ll feature a range of content from a range of contributors – this could be students (past and present) as well as staff members from across the university.
While the focus of each piece will vary, all of our posts will centre on practical takeaways that you, our Imperial student community, can use to craft your own path to ‘learning well’ here at Imperial. Please check out the blog from time to time to see our latest contributions, gain new ideas and read about the experiences and reflections of your fellow students – this might give you inspiration for strategies you’ve not considered before that could work for you.
Remember, your path to ‘learning well’ is one you can create for yourself. Our research with Imperial students suggests that this is an ongoing process throughout your degree and one that will change over time based on your needs as a learner and based on what you’re learning and how you’re learning it.
The key thing to focus on is this: it’s about having the confidence to define your strategies based on what works for you.
We hope you’ll find this blog useful – and if you do, please share it so others can benefit too. If you have any feedback or you’re interested in contributing, or have ideas you’d like us to write about, please reach out and contact us – we’d love to hear from you!
