{"id":343,"date":"2023-08-29T16:00:33","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T15:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/?p=343"},"modified":"2023-08-29T16:02:25","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T15:02:25","slug":"ask-me-anything-sessions-for-the-2023-24-academic-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/2023\/08\/29\/ask-me-anything-sessions-for-the-2023-24-academic-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Ask Me Anything Sessions for the 2023 \/ 24 Academic Year"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>After the finish of the 2022 \/ 23 Ask Me Anything sessions, we wanted to let you know that we will be back for the 2023 \/ 24 Academic Year.<br \/><br \/>Following on from the polls run during July 2023, we are continuing to run these, on the second Tuesday at 10.00 and the fourth Tuesday at 09:00, each month.<\/p>\r\n<h2>How do I join the sessions?<\/h2>\r\n<p>We&#8217;re making it simpler to get signed up for these sessions \/ add them to your calendar this year.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Head over to The Microsoft 365 Ask Me Anything Pages at <a href=\"https:\/\/imperiallondon.sharepoint.com\/sites\/M365AMAPages\">https:\/\/imperiallondon.sharepoint.com\/sites\/M365AMAPages<\/a><br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>On the home page, scroll down until you see the &#8220;Ask Me Anything Sessions &#8211; 2023 \/ 24&#8221; section.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>The section will display a message about the group being deleted &#8211; it hasn&#8217;t (it&#8217;s a SharePoint quirk!).\u00a0 Click on the link &#8220;The Microsoft Ask Me Anything Pages&#8221; to join the membership group &#8230;<br \/><br \/>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_351\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-351\" style=\"width: 395px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"70\" class=\"wp-image-351\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/files\/2023\/07\/2023-07-25-2023-24-AMA-Sessions-how-to-join-01-300x70.png\" alt=\"Screenshot showing the message about the group being deleted.\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-351\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Initial &#8220;deleted group&#8221; message<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<br \/><br \/>You will be automatically added to the group and see a page as follows &#8230;<br \/><br \/>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_352\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-352\" style=\"width: 288px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"300\" class=\"wp-image-352 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/files\/2023\/07\/2023-07-25-2023-24-AMA-Sessions-how-to-join-01a-288x300.png\" alt=\"Screenshot showing successful joining of the group\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-352\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Successful joining of the group<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>Now close the tab with the &#8220;You&#8217;ve joined this group&#8221; message and refresh the SharePoint page.\u00a0 You will then see the next 6 upcoming sessions.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>Click on the title for a session and then in the window click on &#8220;Add event to your calendar&#8221; and choose whether you want to add the single occurrence or the series.<br \/><br \/>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_346\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-346\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" class=\"wp-image-346 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.imperial.ac.uk\/office365\/files\/2023\/07\/2023-07-25-2023-24-AMA-Sessions-how-to-join-02-295x300.png\" alt=\"Screenshot showing how to add the event to your calendar\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-346\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">How to add the occurrence or series to your calendar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>If you add the series then you need to just go to one entry for each series (2nd Tuesday vs 4th Tuesday) and add that series.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>You will get an ICS file downloaded which will either be for the single date or the session depending on your choice in step 3.<br \/><br \/><\/li>\r\n<li>Open the ICS file that has downloaded and accept the invitation to add the event or series into your calendar.
