Professor Ashby has been the Director of the School since 2018, and also holds the Chair in Medical Statistics and Clinical Trials.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Professor Ashby joined the College in 2008, and since then she has held a number of leadership positions, including Co-Director of the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Her research focuses on clinical trials, risk-benefit decision making for medicines, and the utility of Bayesian approaches in these areas.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Deborah Ashby OBE FMedSci has accepted an extension to her appointment as Director of the School of Public Health for a further year, until 30 June 2024.
