Professor Wiesemann will succeed Professor Andreas Eisingerich, who has extended his term as Head of the Department until 31 August 2022. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:0,&quot;335551620&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Professor Wiesemann joined Imperial in 2010 as a research assistant in the Department of Computing. He moved to the Business School in 2013 as an assistant professor and was promoted to Professor of Analytics and Operations in 2019. He served as Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission (Directorate General for Competition). He is a Fellow of the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Centre for Economic Policy Research,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0as well as a member of <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the CMA\u2019s academic advisory panel.
