He will lead\u00a0Imperial\u2019s\u00a0annual\u00a0academic\u00a0promotions exercise,\u202fensuring that\u00a0it is\u00a0rigorous, fair and recognises\u00a0the quality of the full range of contributions made by our\u00a0academic staff\u00a0to Imperial\u2019s mission.\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Professor Mestel is Professor of Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics.
