She has been Head of the Department of Physics since 2018.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Professor Dougherty\u2019s research focuses on p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">lanetary magnetospheres, particularly those of Jupiter and Saturn, and solar wind interaction with planetary bodies.
