\"\"<\/a>Imperial College only started to use YouTube in 2010. Until then, it was insisted upon that a dedicated video server be created and housed in ICT. At the time, MP4 was not considered to be the norm, and different video file formats were used, including Windows Media, RealPlayer, and MOV. At last, common sense prevailed, and uploads were made only to the YouTube platform. However, only videos that were considered important and still in use at the time were duplicated onto YouTube. This left many early videos stranded on different hard drives and, of course, in different formats. I did manage to rescue most of the server content before it was decommissioned (with no prior notice to me) a few years ago. But some videos were never uploaded…<\/p>\r\n

Today’s video was discovered on a hard drive in full quality and is seen here for the first time since around 2009. The video was never made for uploading to the internet but rather for a DVD that was given away during an open day. So, the only people who would have seen this video were prospective students at open day.<\/p>\r\n

Two of the students that appear in this video were also in the “shot in one day” Exploring London<\/a> tour that we also made in 2009. Having shot the accommodation video, Graham and Sarah came across very well on camera so we asked them to appear once more in the London tour video.<\/p>\r\n
