Women at Imperial Week Events – 9 to 13 March 2026

Women at Imperial Week takes place in March every year with a series or events and workshops. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our women staff, students and alumni, and raises awareness of support and initiatives across Imperial.

This year, Women at Imperial Week is taking place 9-13 March. Below are events taking place throughout the week that early career researchers may be particular interested in:

Exploring Career Progression for PTO Staff at Imperial –Tuesday 10 March, 10:30 to 11:30, Hybrid

Although this event is aimed at PTO staff, early career researchers are more than welcome to attend to explore career path options that are available to them within this job family.

Imperial Women’s PhD Network Showcase- Tuesday 10 March, 12-2pm, Business School Foyer

Under the theme “Highlighting Innovation: The Women Shaping STEM Research”, the showcase will celebrate the creativity, impact, and diversity of research led by women at Imperial. It provides a platform to share ideas, raise the visibility of women in STEM, and engage the wider Imperial community in emerging PhD research.

This showcase will take place on 10 March 2026, 12-2pm, in the Business School Foyer during Women at Imperial Week, with posters displayed throughout the event. 

To submit your poster, complete the submission form by 24 February 2026. Information on signing up to attend the showcase will also be made available shortly.

Athena Lecture and Networking Reception with Professor Michele Dougherty – Thursday 12 March, 11am-12pm, Hybrid

This year’s Athena Lecture will take place during Women at Imperial Week, featuring Professor Michele Dougherty, Professor of Space Physics and Astronomer Royal.
