Online Careers Talk: Breaking into Science Journalism

Background:

Alexia joined Nature in 2024 after stints as a NewsCorp journalist and science communicator in Australia. She holds a dual degree in science and journalism from the University of Queensland and is completing a Masters in Applied Neuroscience at KCL.

Her talk will focus on breaking into science journalism, with insights into working with the Nature Careers team, including a look at a typical day and the essential skills required for science journalists. Alexia will also share opportunities available for aspiring writers.
