Activate is an 8-month mentoring programme that supports under-represented groups at Imperial, including both current students and prospective PhD students. It offers a welcoming space to connect, grow, and feel supported as you navigate your PhD journey.
Activate is open to individuals within the following groups:
- Recipients of Imperial’s Scholarships for Black Heritage and Minority Ethnic PhD Students
- Recipients of Imperial’s Scholarships for Disabled Master’s and Disabled PhD Students
- Minority Ethnic PhD students at Imperial
- Disabled PhD students at Imperial
- Prospective Black Heritage PhD students
Individuals who identify as Black heritage and are considering applying for a PhD at Imperial
Activate matches mentees with mentors who bring insight and understanding of the experiences of under-represented students, including the challenges that can arise within education and at Imperial. Mentoring provides a supportive space to reflect, share experiences, and explore your goals.
