This year’s keynote speaker, Jonas C. Peters, Bren Professor of Chemistry at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Director of the Resnick Sustainability Initiative, will give us insight into solar fuels and fertilisers.
In this talk, we will explore innovative approaches to catalysis and the quest to convert nitrogen from the air into ammonia, a process with profound implications for sustainable energy and food production.
Professor Peters is a world-leading chemist whose research focuses on new concepts for catalysis (including electro- and photocatalysis) with applications in renewable solar fuel technologies, distributed nitrogen fixation for fertilisers and fuels, and chemical transformations fundamental to the synthesis of organic molecules.
