Present Your Research as an Immersive Experience at the Data Observatory – (Deadline 27 Nov 2026)

Could your research come to life at the Data Observatory?

We are looking for three Imperial research projects to feature as flagship immersive demonstrations at the Data Observatory in 2027.

If your work has a compelling story to tell- this is your opportunity to bring it to life at a scale no laptop screen can match.

What’s involved:

  • Projects run from January to June, with the immersive demonstration developed over 2–3 months during this period;
  • You will work with one of our Data for Humanity Interns, at no cost to you;
  • We ask for a mentor from your team, either yourself or a colleague to commit to one meeting per week, plus occasional ad hoc contact, to guide the intern and shape the final demonstration;
  • We are looking for mature, well-developed research with a compelling story ready to be shared with researchers, funders and the public (and even on the Virtual Corrido in the Sherfield Walkway!)

The submission portal is now open. Closing date: 27 November.
