LATEST OPPORTUNITIES

The Naglik Lab is hiring a 3-year BBSRC-funded Postdoctoral Research Associate at King’s College London to work on an exciting translational project targeting candidalysin, the peptide toxin produced by Candida albicans that drives epithelial damage and mucosal inflammation.
The project will focus on validating and developing small molecule inhibitors of candidalysin, combining fungal pathogenesis, epithelial host response biology, inhibitor screening, and in vivo models of mucosal candidiasis. This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher interested in host–pathogen interactions, anti-virulence therapeutics and translational antifungal discovery.
The post will be based in the Centre for Host-Microbiome Interactions at King’s, working with Professor Julian Naglik and Dr Miraz Rahman.
Deadline: 18 October 2026; For more details and to apply
