IGHI Welcomes Two New Centre Co-Directors

We are delighted to welcome two new Centre co-directors – Professor Christoph Lindner to the Helix Centre and Professor Marisa Miraldo to the Centre for Health Policy.

Professor Christoph Lindner

Professor Christoph Lindner is President and Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Art, a trustee of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and a fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Geographical Society. He joins Professor the Lord Ara Darzi as co-director of the Helix Centre and will work alongside the Centre’s managing director, Dr Leila Shepherd. 

He is an interdisciplinary scholar of cities and creativity, whose work focuses on advancing educational access and equity, intercultural understanding, and environmental sustainability. He has published 15 books in the fields of art, architecture, media and cultural studies, and urban geography.

Professor Marisa Miraldo

An economist by training, Professor Marisa Miraldo joins Professor the Lord Ara Darzi as co-director of the Centre for Health Policy and will work alongside Peter Howitt, the Centre’s managing director.  

Her focus is global and interdisciplinary, and her expertise is in behavioural interventions to promote health and wellbeing, and in the economics and policy of healthcare innovation. 

She is currently Professor of Health Economics at Imperial Business School and Co-Director of the School of Convergence Science in Health and Technology.
