1st Year PhD students required for research project

How does a non-Imperial postgraduate education prepare students to embark on a PhD?

You are invited to take part in a research project if you are:

  • a 1st year PhD student in the Faculty of Medicine (any department)
  • a Masters’ degree graduate from an institution other than Imperial not part of a DTP or CDT
  • a first-timer at Imperial i.e., have not studied or worked here prior to starting your PhD

What’s this research project about?

This project aims to understand the experience of 1st year PhD students who are also first-timers at Imperial. It is part of an MEd (University Teaching and Learning project) which may lead to the development or enhancement of support for future students.

What’s involved?

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be invited to a 1-hour interview to share your experiences and perspectives. Information shared will be anonymised before analysis, and participation will be confidential.

Participants will be entered into a draw for a £25 voucher (Amazon or similar).
