NK Cell Workshop – 17 May 2024

Do you want to connect with researchers focused on NK cells, to discuss their basic biology and developing new therapies? Come along to our free, in-person networking workshop to learn about the latest developments! The workshop is designed to encourage and foster collaboration, generate innovative research ideas and provide the opportunity for networking.

The day will feature a special seminar from Professor David Raulet visiting us from Berkley, USA.

David H. Raulet is a Professor in the Division of Immunology and Pathogenesis, Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley where he also holds the Esther and Wendy Schekman Chair in cancer biology. He received his BS degree at the University of Michigan and his PhD in biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and performed postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. His research addresses the role of Natural Killer (NK) cells and T cells in tumor immune surveillance, the specificity of NK cells and T cells, and the developmental processes that equip NK cells and T cells with their specificity.

The event is open to Imperial staff, postdocs, fellows, researchers, MRes and PhD students at Imperial College London.

The event will also include presenting of PhD student posters over lunch and the day will be rounded off by a drinks reception with a chance to meet other researchers.
