Professor Deborah Ashby OBE FMedSci has accepted an extension to her appointment as Director of the School of Public Health for a further year, until 30 June 2024. Professor Ashby has been the Director of the School since 2018, and also holds the Chair in Medical Statistics and Clinical Trials.
Professor Ashby joined the College in 2008, and since then she has held a number of leadership positions, including Co-Director of the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit.
Her research focuses on clinical trials, risk-benefit decision making for medicines, and the utility of Bayesian approaches in these areas.
