London OA Network

The London Open Access Network is an informal group of OA practitioners from universities in the London area. We meet regularly to discuss issues around open access and to network. The group is not a formal sector body, nor does it have institutional membership. Specific issues that come out of our discussions are usually taken forward through relevant sector groups.

The group came together for its first meeting in June 2014, organised by Torsten Reimer. Since then we have met regularly, either for general meetings or to discuss specific issues around open access. Members are also in regular contact via our mailing list. The group is coordinated by Helen Cargill (King’s College London), Nancy Graham (London School of Economics), Ruth Harrison (Imperial College London) and Torsten Reimer (British Library).

If you are involved in OA activities in higher education and either based in London and/or willing to come to London for face-to-face meetings then please join theĀ mailing list. Please note: the list is not for publishers, vendors or general open access discussions. We mostly use it to coordinate meetings and to discuss issues relevant for those running institutional OA services.
