Brandon Baker has accepted appointment as Vice-President (Advancement) and will join Imperial in autumn 2026.
Reporting to the President, Brandon will lead the Advancement Division, a dynamic professional team that raises funds for scholarships, academic positions, research centres and capital projects, secures philanthropic support for Imperial’s mission, and helps strengthen the university’s global reputation.
Brandon joins Imperial from the University of Southern California (UCA), where he currently serves as Associate Senior Vice President of Advancement. In this role, he has shaped ambitious fundraising programmes and played a central role in the planning of the university’s next comprehensive fundraising campaign. Prior to this, he has served as Vice President of Development at the RAND Corporation and held senior advancement roles at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
