Dr Ana Costa-Pereira has accepted a three-year extension to her term as Director of the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication (CLCC) from 1 July 2025.
Reporting to the Vice-Provost (Education and Student Experience), in this role Dr Costa-Pereira is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for an exciting range of provision designed to broaden Imperial students’ perspectives, give new context to their disciplinary knowledge and allow them to share their expertise for the benefit of society. Focusing on humanities, languages, change makers, and science communication, some of these programmes are also open to staff and members of the public.
Heather Haseley has been appointed Managing Director for the Institute of Extended Learning (IEL) and will join Imperial on Wednesday 23 April.

Professor Ezzati is Professor of Global Environmental Health in the School of Public Health. He is also the Director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on NCD Surveillance, Epidemiology and Modelling, and a research lead at the Abdul Latif Jameel Institute for Disease and Emergency Analytics. His research uses data and methods from environmental, health and quantitative sciences to answer key questions related to improving global health.
Professor Alison Holmes OBE FMedSci has accepted appointment as the inaugural Director of the Fleming Initiative, with effect from 1 October 2024.
A partnership between Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the Fleming Initiative is focused on driving solutions to antimicrobial resistance that are co-designed with patients, the public, and policy makers and underpinned by a rich and diverse evidence base.
