Clare Hebbes has accepted appointment as Chief Property Officer, with effect from 20 July 2026.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Clare will ensure the Property Division delivers and maintains a world-class physical infrastructure to sustain Imperial’s global top 10 academic mission. She will be accountable for the development, operation, repair and asset management of all the university’s property (excluding the development and divestment of property assets vested in the Endowment Unitised Scheme).
A graduate of Imperial, Clare is an accomplished development and property leader. She joins us from Oxford University Development Ltd where she currently serves as Director of Development. Clare’s career spans senior roles at London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC), Lendlease and Battersea Power Station, where she has delivered transformation, led complex, large scale projects, improved sustainability, and championed people-focused design.
