Commemoration Day 2003

I mentioned in the August blog that the 2003 Commemoration Day ceremonies had never been uploaded to YouTube and that I therefore had to find the master recordings. Since then I’ve visited the college archives and my colleague located the appropriate archival box. So I now have both the morning and afternoon ceremonies that no one has seen; unless you had purchased the VHS tape later that year. As I explained before, it was not until 2010 that these events were made available on YouTube making it unnecessary to create VHS or DVD’s for graduates to buy.

Both of the ceremonies are now on the Imperial College YouTube channel and are also seen embedded below. These recordings were in 4:3 aspect ratio and standard definition (625/PAL). Hopefully this all proves the benefit of having a decent video archive with all of the memories and history of Imperial College. Coming soon will be any missing ceremonies from 2008, 2009 and 2010; I just have to find the time to create the videos for uploading to YouTube and making chapter marks too.
